What has changed?

A record of improvements to SAS Doctors Review.

29 October 2026 · Read the Older Person handbook with Christine

A self-hosted reader replaces the external flipbook for this handbook. All 296 PDF pages retain the published layout, with chapter navigation, book search, zoom and a text view. Page-specific AI assistance requires email verification and shares six questions per 24-hour allowance with ordinary Christine chat. Reading remains open to everyone.

27 October 2026 · A wider Powys guide

The public Powys section now has its own grouped navigation, a searchable town and GP practice directory, and guides to care outside Powys and Better Together.

  • Newtown, Llandrindod Wells and Brecon remain the central town guides.
  • Practice locations are distinguished from registration boundaries, with official practice links and address-check guidance.
  • Neighbouring NHS provider profiles explain the network without assigning patients to hospitals by town.
  • Better Together proposals and dated service updates are labelled separately from current services.

26 October 2026 · Christine’s guided journeys

Progression, job planning and professional evidence now have four-stage preparation journeys alongside the existing chat.

  • Editable local notes, selected-field sharing and a question to review before sending.
  • Download a working PDF brief or an editable plan compatible with the existing toolkit.
  • AI suggestions remain separate from evidence; missing information stays incomplete. Existing sources, verification and usage limits apply.

26 October 2026 · Professional reference foundation

New practical starting points on the existing progression handbook, contracts guide and recognition toolkit connect explanations, tools, source information and Christine.

  • Source scope and check dates are visible in the professional reference source register, with a distinction between checked content, link checks and unverified sources.
  • Search highlights relevant reference material before grouped results; news and events remain available with clear labels.
  • Topic links open approved, editable Christine prompts. No planner notes are transferred and normal usage limits apply.
  • ClinicalEdu remains the destination for courses and clinical learning. Published handbook files are unchanged.

25 October 2026 · Career planning and connected guidance

The existing recognition and progression toolkit now supports editable plans saved on your device and direct PDF meeting briefs. It connects to the preserved handbook without changing its text.

  • Map evidence to your applicable capability criteria; distinguish recognition of existing work from new development.
  • Record support, protected time, review arrangements and meeting outcomes.
  • Open a saved plan locally; no planner notes are uploaded or automatically stored.
  • Choose an editable starting prompt with Christine for explanation, preparation, evidence organisation, rehearsal or next steps. Existing limits apply.
  • Improved search handling for conversational queries and career-planning terminology.

24 October 2026 · Navigation and homepage improvements

Search and starting routes now appear first. The career-progression handbook and Christine sit together, with one combined directory of professional programmes, clearer handbook descriptions and the free ClinicalEdu learning offer.

  • Improved mobile spacing and menu keyboard controls; added a skip-to-content link.
  • Moved editor sign-in to the footer and clarified the learning-progress link.
  • Improved page-specific sharing previews and placed the Powys independence statement near the title.
  • Existing programmes, downloads, verification and Christine access arrangements are retained.

Version 36 · 21 October 2026

Published the complete From Specialty Doctor to Specialist handbook at Career progression.

  • All 19 chapters, 12 blank tools and 12 worked examples, companions, glossary, references and author biography from the preserved digital edition.
  • Prominent homepage feature, chapter navigation, printable pages, site-search entries and related existing resources.
  • Free PDF and EPUB downloads for signed-in readers, with distinct ISBNs and unchanged publication files.
  • The former Specialist-preparation chapter now directs to the complete handbook.

Knowledge checks and AI-supported search are planned for later stages and are not part of this release.

Version 35 · 18 October 2026

Published the public Living & Working in Powys hub.

  • Three town guides: Newtown, Llandrindod Wells and Brecon, with official hospital and GP links.
  • Six practical guides covering hospitals, housing and letting agents, transport, schools and childcare, healthcare registration, and arrival preparation.
  • Printable checklists, page-link sharing, free ClinicalEdu learning links, source-review dates and a corrections route.
  • Added homepage and footer links, a Wales health-board guide link, site search entries and sitemap coverage.

The protected induction area is deferred until after review of the public hub.
