Miss Christine: your conversation and allowance

Miss Christine is an AI learning assistant. The service draws on the career-progression handbook, selected SAS Doctors teaching, ClinicalEdu learning summaries and selected official guidance. It searches a dated, curated collection rather than the live web. It is not a human clinician, formal assessor or source of individual clinical, legal or employment advice.

About Christine and the limits of AI-supported chat

Your conversation

Your messages and answers stay in the page’s memory for display. SAS Doctors does not save a retrievable transcript in its database. Refreshing, leaving, clearing or ending the chat can lose it. Download your PDF first; the PDF is created on your device, not uploaded for conversion.

To generate an answer, your question and limited recent conversation are sent through our server to OpenAI. We request no saved response state. This is not a guarantee of zero provider retention: OpenAI’s separate abuse-monitoring rules may apply. Do not enter identifiable patient or colleague information or confidential material.

Email verification and fair use

You can ask two introductory questions, then verify an email to use up to six questions in total, shared with the book reader. Follow-ups count. Your allowance resets at the displayed time, 24 hours after the allowance starts with a question or email verification. Verification and clearing the chat do not create a fresh allowance. A failed technical request does not consume a successful-answer allowance; provider usage may still count towards our service budget.

There is no membership account or mailing-list subscription. Your email is sent to our email provider, Resend, to deliver the code. We retain a protected keyed identifier derived from it to enforce usage across browsers, not the plain email address in Christine’s access tables. The email provider processes delivery records under its own retention rules.

Limited operational records

Owner-only reports now include answer outcomes, response times, source references and estimated costs, with broad topics only when optional statistics are enabled. Optional answer feedback records a category, not conversation text. Security detail is retained for 30 days; answer outcomes and feedback for 40 days. Read the full monitoring notice and your choices.

Essential browser cookies, protected identifiers, counters and timestamps support verification, security and usage limits. We use network addresses transiently to create protected rate-limit keys, not as a reliable identity for an individual. Shared hospital networks are not limited to one person’s allowance.

Codes expire after 10 minutes. Browser access records expire after 48 hours without session renewal or a completed request. Completed access-request records are eligible for deletion after 48 hours; expired rate-limit and unlinked allowance records are removed by routine access-time housekeeping. AI request metadata and budget records contain no transcript and are retained for up to 40 days before routine housekeeping. Unresolved requests can be conservatively charged at their reserved ceiling so that uncertain costs do not disappear.

Hosting, email delivery, human-verification and AI providers may retain their own operational records. See the site privacy notice and OpenAI data controls.

Book-reader assistance

Reading and searching the book are public and do not call AI. Questions require email verification and share the six-question allowance with ordinary Christine chat. The server resolves the submitted book edition and page to its preserved text; relevant extracts and any selected passage are sent to OpenAI with your question. New download verifications retain a protected email link for 24 hours so the same verification can be reused for AI access. Older download sessions may need a fresh code. Reading position is stored only on your device if you select that option.

Service-wide limits

The service has a ceiling of 500 generation requests per UTC day, alongside daily and monthly cost ceilings. A cost ceiling can pause access before 500 requests. Daily availability resets at midnight UTC; monthly budget pauses may last longer. When a limit is reached, you can still read and download your existing conversation.
